Once an item is overdue more than 20 days, the system marks it Lost and charges you the maximum overdue fine ($5.00) and a replacement cost ($57.65). Unfortunately you cannot renew the book once it’s gone into Lost status. The good news is, it’s not accruing any more fees and if you bring the book in, we can check it in and remove the replacement cost. Then you can check it back out if you still need it and you’ll only be responsible for the $5 max overdue fine.
