Patrons who log in using their university ID have install permissions on all lab computers. However, all library computers are on "deep freeze" which means that anything saved to them (desktop, C-drive, Documents, etc) will disappear once the machine is logged off.

This means that they should be able to install any software (except for torrent or peer-to-peer file sharing software) with little to no problems.  In the event they have trouble installing software they can contact the ITS Help Desk.  

Please keep in mind that after-hours support is very limited and the issue may not be resolved in a timely manner.
