Yes. Ira M. Koger was awarded a UNF honorary degree (Doctor of Humane Letters) on May 4, 1985. The Special Collections website, Milestones in Our History: Honorary Degrees Awarded at UNF, provides a brief summary of his achievements and an image of Mr. Koger speaking at the May 1985 commencement ceremony. Special Collections also has additional photographs of Mr. Koger at the ceremony, and copies of his address.
