The university currently uses two different automated proctoring options –
OPTIONS for students:
Students should choose their location in the library carefully and are encouraged to reserve a study room. Honorlock performs a pre-exam "room scan" to demonstrate that the student is in a quiet/private location. If an excessive amount of background noise, movement, or other people are detected by the software the student won't be able to begin the test. There have actually been instances of posters on a wall being flagged as people so it can be quite sensitive.
