The Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics publishes a widely-used diet manual, The Manual of Medical Nutrition Therapy. First published in 1973 the manual serves as a reference for healthcare practitioners providing contemporary scientific information as well as patient education materials. It encompasses basic nutrition, specific needs throughout the life cycle and therapeutic protocols for a variety of disease conditions. Faculty of the University of North Florida, Department of Dietetics and Nutrition serve as the editorial board, with Editor in Chief, Catherine Christie, PhD, RD, LD/N, FADA.
